Medical & Healthcare Plastic Components

Medical Plastic Parts with Controlled Material and Quality Communication

Support for non-implant housings, accessories and functional components where material identity, cleanliness, traceability and approval discipline are important.

Quality inspection for medical plastic parts
Typical Applications

Parts and projects we can review

Part suitability depends on geometry, material, quality requirements and expected volume.

  • Device housings and covers
  • Healthcare accessories
  • Diagnostic equipment components
  • Sterilizable PPSU-related applications
Material Direction

Material should follow the application

Depending on use, projects may consider PC, ABS, PC/ABS, PP, PPSU and other approved grades. Regulatory suitability remains application-specific.

Manufacturing Priorities

What should be reviewed before tooling

Material control

Grade, lot information, color and application-specific compliance should be defined.

Clean handling

Part handling, inspection and packaging expectations should be discussed before production.

Dimensional validation

Critical features and inspection methods should be agreed with the buyer.

Change control

Material, process and tooling changes should follow an agreed communication process.

RFQ Checklist

Information that improves the first review

Material grade and supplier requirement
Critical-to-quality dimensions
Sterilization or chemical exposure details
Packaging and traceability expectations
Medical Project Control

Define material, cleanliness and approval requirements before tooling

Medical and healthcare applications vary widely. The buyer should clarify product classification, intended use, regulatory responsibilities and any cleanliness, sterilization or traceability requirements.

Material and Grade Control

Specify the approved manufacturer, grade, color, additives and documentation needed. Substitutions should not occur without written approval.

Clean Handling and Packaging

Handling, inspection, bagging, labeling and packaging expectations should reflect the product's cleanliness and damage-control needs.

Validation and Change Control

Approved samples, critical dimensions, process records and change-notification requirements should be agreed before production release.

Medical Parts FAQ

Common questions for healthcare plastic projects

Does ISO 13485 automatically make a part compliant?

No. A quality system supports controlled processes, but final product compliance depends on the device, material, design, validation and applicable regulations.

Can you mold PPSU or other high-performance resins?

Projects can be reviewed for resin drying, mold temperature, tooling steel, dimensional stability and validation needs.

How is traceability defined?

Traceability may include material lots, production batches, inspection records and packaging labels. The required level should be specified in the RFQ.

Can you support sterilization testing?

The buyer should define the sterilization method and validation standard. We can discuss material and manufacturing implications, but final validation remains application-specific.
